Netflix has launched a dedicated global hub for viewers who enjoy discovering films and series adapted from books, bringing together book-inspired titles in a single destination on the streaming platform, the company said yesterday.
The new feature, titled ‘Watch Your Favorite Books’, is available from June 2 on the Netflix homepage, through search and via a dedicated books section on the service. Netflix said the hub is designed to help members easily find stories that have made the transition from page to screen and discover new adaptations based on their reading interests.
“We’ve seen a real passion from fans around Netflix’s library of book adaptations. Our team looked to celebrate that fandom by creating a destination on Netflix for enthusiasts to explore their favourites and find more stories they’ll love.
“Built on our recently redesigned experience and the success of earlier fan-inspired collections, such as ‘Your Zodiac Watchlist,’ ‘Watch Your Favorite Books’ brings together our library of book-inspired entertainment into one engaging, immersive space, making it fun and exciting to find what to watch next based on your personal taste and reading style,” said Mansi Patel, Netflix’s Senior Director of Product Merchandising.
According to the company, the destination will showcase a wide range of book-based films and series, allowing users to browse adaptations across genres and explore connections between literary works and their screen versions. The hub is intended both for viewers who first discover stories through books and for those who want to read the source material after watching an adaptation.
Netflix said the feature also offers a more streamlined way to navigate its growing catalogue of book-inspired content by bringing related titles together in one place. It noted that many members actively seek out adaptations after reading a novel or, conversely, look for the original books after watching a series or film.
The dedicated section is being rolled out globally and can be accessed directly through the platform’s interface as well as through a standalone books destination.
With the introduction of the new hub, Netflix is seeking to strengthen content discovery for readers and screen enthusiasts alike, creating a single destination where members can explore adaptations and uncover new stories across both mediums.
