Actor Mohanlal’s upcoming film with filmmaker Vishnu Mohan has been titled ‘Operation Ganga’.

According to a PTI report from New Delhi today,the film features Mohanlal in the lead role and also stars Arjun Rampal, Bhagyashri Borse and Adil Hussain. The makers are expected to reveal more details about the characters and story later.

The title ‘Operation Ganga’ refers to the evacuation mission carried out by India in 2022. The mission was launched to bring back Indian citizens who were stranded in Ukraine after the Russia-Ukraine war began.

Thousands of Indian students were among those stranded in Ukraine when the conflict broke out. The Indian government arranged their evacuation through ‘Operation Ganga’ and helped bring them safely back to India.

The title of the film suggests that the story may be connected to the real-life evacuation mission and the experiences of Indians caught in the war. However, the makers have not yet confirmed whether the film is directly based on the mission.

Directed by Vishnu Mohan, ‘Operation Ganga’ brings together a cast led by Mohanlal along with Arjun Rampal, Bhagyashri Borse and Adil Hussain.
