Concept Public Relations India has announced a special initiative titled ‘PowerPause’ to mark International Women’s Day 2026 on March 08, recognising the multiple roles women play both within and beyond the workplace. Through the initiative, the PR-led integrated communications agency aims to highlight the importance of appreciating women not only for their professional contributions but also for their identities and passions outside the office.
According to a press release, the initiative is designed as a meaningful gesture to acknowledge the dedication, resilience and balance women maintain every day. The company reiterated that respect, recognition and opportunity should always remain free from gender bias and that celebrating women means acknowledging them in their entirety rather than just through their job titles.
As part of “PowerPause,” all women employees at the organisation will log off 60 minutes early on Friday, March 6, 2026. The hour is intended purely as personal time — a symbolic pause encouraging employees to focus on themselves amid often demanding schedules filled with responsibilities both at work and at home.
The celebration also carries a broader theme titled “You Beyond the Office,” aimed at highlighting the unique passions and interests of the agency’s women team members. Employees have been invited to share a photograph representing a hobby or pursuit they enjoy outside their professional lives, ranging from cooking, painting and crocheting to dancing, fitness, music, entrepreneurship, sports and photography. By encouraging employees to “own their story,” the initiative seeks to reinforce an inclusive workplace culture that values individuality, authenticity and work–life harmony.
Commenting on the initiative, Smita Vichare Pednekar, Senior Vice President – HR at Concept Public Relations India, said that behind every successful campaign, deadline or milestone there are women contributing far more than what is often visible. She noted that women carry ambition with grace, resilience with responsibility and compassion with strength.
Pednekar added that ‘PowerPause’ is a small yet sincere acknowledgement of the many roles women embrace — as leaders, creators, caregivers, dreamers and changemakers. According to her, the initiative reflects the organisation’s effort to recognise and celebrate women not only for their professional achievements but also for the individuals they are beyond the workplace.
Through the PowerPause initiative, the agency continues to encourage a culture where every story matters, reinforcing the belief that recognising women in their entirety helps build a more inclusive, empathetic and supportive work environment.
