Sony LIV on Friday released the trailer of its upcoming original series ‘13th: Some Lessons Aren’t Taught in Classrooms’, a drama inspired by the life and philosophy of mathematics teacher and education entrepreneur Mohit Tyagi, founder of Competishun. The series is set to premiere on the platform on October 1.
According to a PTI report, the show follows the story of Ritesh, a successful venture capitalist portrayed by Paresh Pahuja, who decides to step away from the corporate world to repay a lifelong debt to his mentor, MT Sir. The character of MT Sir is played by Gagan Dev Riar, best known for his performance in ‘Scam 2001’.
The narrative highlights the enduring influence of teachers and mentors, exploring how their belief can transform lives. Years earlier, it was MT Sir’s conviction that shaped Ritesh’s path, and now, with his teacher pursuing an ambitious ed-tech dream, Ritesh returns to contribute to the vision that once inspired his own journey.
With its emotional core rooted in gratitude, mentorship, and the transformative power of education, ‘13th: Some Lessons Aren’t Taught in Classrooms’ aims to resonate with audiences who have felt the impact of a guiding hand in their own lives.
The series begins streaming on Sony LIV from October 1.
