Award-winning Hindi short film ‘Line of Duty’, written and directed by Mayank Malhotra, is now available for public viewing as India marks 80 years of Independence. Inspired by true events, the film explores duty, patriotism and compassion through the story of an Army recruit.
According to a Neev Communications press release issued today, the 13-minute film is set at a remote post along the India-Pakistan border. It follows a young Army recruit whose understanding of duty and patriotism is challenged when a natural disaster creates an unexpected situation.
The film explores the human side of soldiers and shows how compassion can exist even across borders. It focuses on duty, sacrifice and the deeper meaning of serving the country.
‘Line of Duty’ stars Priyanshu Painyuli, known for ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Extraction’, along with Lakshya Kocchar of ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’ and ‘Industry’, and Sayan Banerjee of ‘Jee Karda’.
