The makers of the upcoming film ‘Rahu Ketu’ have unveiled its much-anticipated trailer, promising a riot of humour, confusion and quirky characters. Headlined by Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, the film positions itself as a light-hearted entertainer that leans heavily on the duo’s proven comic chemistry and timing.
According to an ANI report, the trailer opens with veteran actor Piyush Mishra’s distinctive narration, setting the tone for the eccentric world of ‘Rahu Ketu’. What follows is the playful introduction of the titular characters, portrayed by Samrat and Sharma, whose innocent cluelessness and effortless camaraderie drive much of the humour. Their silly antics, coupled with a fast-paced narrative, hint at a comedy that thrives on chaos and absurd situations.
Backed by Zee Studios and Blive Productions, ‘Rahu Ketu’ is directed by Vipul Vig and draws comparisons to the much-loved ‘Fukrey’ franchise.
Speaking to ANI, Samrat shared that the film brings together elements audiences enjoyed in ‘Fukrey’, especially the reunion of him and Sharma on screen. He noted that the joy and comfort they share as co-actors naturally translated into their performances. Pulkit also highlighted that the film’s writing comes from Vig, who penned all three ‘Fukrey’ films, adding a sense of familiarity within a completely new, fantastical and slightly mythical world.
‘Rahu Ketu’ is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 16, aiming to kick off 2026 with laughter and mass entertainment.
