Apple TV will premiere its new comedy series ‘Small Prophets’ globally on October 7, 2026. The six episode series will be available worldwide, except in the UK, where it will premiere in 2027.

Created, written and directed by BAFTA Award winner Mackenzie Crook, the series stars Crook as Michael Sleep. The cast also includes Pearce Quigley, Lauren Patel, Sir Michael Palin, Sophie Willan, Jon Pointing and Paul Kaye.

According to an Apple TV press release yesterday ,‘Small Prophets’ follows Michael Sleep, a quiet man who has been waiting for his partner Clea to return. Clea disappeared seven years ago, but Michael still believes that she may come back.

His ordinary life changes when his father gives him a strange recipe made using rainwater, horse manure and alchemy. Michael uses the recipe to create magical spirits that can supposedly predict the future.

Hoping to find out whether Clea will return, Michael turns to these unusual spirits for answers. At the same time, his friendship with his young co-worker Kacey grows, while his neighbours become curious about the strange things happening in his garden shed.

The series combines comedy, mystery and fantasy, while also focusing on friendship, love, loss and hope.‘Small Prophets’ was filmed in and around Manchester. The series originally premiered on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two in the UK earlier this year.
