Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated film ‘Love & War’ will now arrive in theatres on January 21, 2027, marking a significant shift from its earlier planned release. The announcement was made by the filmmaker’s production banner, Bhansali Productions, on Friday, setting a new timeline for one of the most awaited projects in the pipeline.
According to a PTI report, the film was initially scheduled to hit screens on March 20, 2026, but has now been postponed by nearly a year. While no specific reason for the delay has been disclosed, the move adds to the anticipation surrounding the project, which has already generated strong buzz among audiences.
Billed as an epic romance drama, ‘Love & War’ brings together a powerful ensemble cast featuring Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. The collaboration has heightened expectations, given Bhansali’s reputation for crafting visually grand narratives and emotionally layered storytelling.
The new release date was shared by the makers on their official social media platforms, reaffirming their commitment to delivering a cinematic experience that matches the scale and vision associated with Bhansali’s films. Known for his meticulous approach and attention to detail, the filmmaker is expected to present ‘Love & War’ as a larger-than-life spectacle.
With the revised schedule now in place, the film is set to be one of the major theatrical releases of early 2027, adding another big-ticket title to the evolving Bollywood slate.
