Several highly anticipated Telugu films, including Nani’s ‘The Paradise’ and Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’, are set to stream on Netflix following their theatrical releases this year.
The OTT platform unveiled its Telugu film slate on the festive occasion of Makara Sankranthi, offering audiences a glimpse into a packed lineup of star-driven entertainers and story-led cinema.
According to an IANS report, Netflix made the announcement on Friday, underscoring its growing focus on Telugu cinema and its expanding global footprint. The platform said the new slate reflects its continued commitment to celebrating the scale, diversity and rising international appeal of Telugu films, with titles spanning action, drama, emotion and spectacle.
Among the major highlights is director Harish Shankar’s high-voltage action drama ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, featuring actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in the lead. Srikanth Odela’s much-awaited action entertainer ‘The Paradise’, starring Nani, will also make its way to Netflix after completing its theatrical run. Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer ‘Peddi’ is another big-ticket title that has already generated strong buzz among fans.
The slate also includes ‘Aakasamlo Oka Tara’, which sees Dulquer Salmaan in a fresh, emotionally driven role, Fahadh Faasil’s intriguingly titled ‘Don’t Trouble the Trouble’, and Vijay Deverakonda’s period-action film ‘VD14’. Ace filmmaker Trivikram’s tense family drama ‘Adarsha Kutumbam – House No: 47’, featuring Venkatesh, has also been acquired by Netflix for post-theatrical streaming.
In addition, Sharwanand’s motor sport drama ‘The Biker’, Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar-starrer ‘Funky’, ‘Champion’ starring Roshann and Anaswara Rajan, ‘Production No 37’ featuring Anna Ben and Harsh Roshan, Sangeeth Shobhan’s ‘Raakaasa’, and ‘418’ starring Chaitra Achar and Shree Vaishnav are part of the announced lineup.
Commenting on the slate, Netflix India Vice President (Content) Monika Shergill said Telugu cinema continues to enjoy a deeply engaged audience, driven by ambitious storytelling, emotional depth and large-scale presentation. She added that the upcoming lineup reflects a healthy mix of mainstream entertainers and more layered, character-driven narratives, as Netflix aligns itself with the evolving tastes of both filmmakers and audiences.
Blending mass appeal with strong storytelling, Netflix’s Telugu slate promises to bring big-screen spectacles to a wider global audience once the films complete their theatrical journeys.
