The streaming series ‘Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar’ is set to return with its second season, promising a narrative that is darker, more intense and layered with themes of heartbreak, power and politics. The new season brings back Sanchita Basu and Dhaval Thakur reprising their roles as Shanvika Chauhan and Kuldeep Kumar.
According to an IANS report, the upcoming season moves beyond the emotional core of love and rejection explored earlier, expanding into a broader landscape set in small-town India where personal relationships intersect with power struggles and political undertones. The storyline aims to deepen the emotional arcs of its central characters while raising the stakes significantly.

Basu, who plays Shanvika, said the new season explores her character’s strength and resilience in a more powerful and emotional way. She noted that the relationship between Shanvika and Kuldeep remains central to the narrative, with audiences getting to see a more layered and intense side of their bond.
Thakur, returning as Kuldeep Kumar, described his character as deeply complex, balancing strength with vulnerability and conviction with flaws. He shared that the second season delves further into Kuldeep’s emotional journey, focusing not only on external conflicts but also his internal struggles. He added that the scale of the story has grown, with higher stakes and a more intense narrative arc.
The series continues to explore themes such as heartbreak, self-worth, and emotional resilience in modern relationships. It follows a young protagonist navigating love, betrayal, and the aftermath of rejection, while reflecting on how personal identity evolves through loss and emotional conflict.
