X is ending its Creator Revenue Sharing programme, which allowed eligible creators to earn money from their content on the platform.
According to X, the platform stopped accepting new applications for the programme from August 7, 2026. The programme will officially end on September 7, 2026.
Creators who are already enrolled will continue to receive earnings until the programme ends. X will issue scheduled payouts on August 14 and August 28, followed by a final payout for eligible earnings, expected around September 11.
From September 8, existing Creator Revenue Sharing participants will be able to apply for X’s new Original Content Rewards programme, subject to its eligibility requirements.
The Creator Revenue Sharing programme previously required eligible creators to have an active Premium subscription, at least 5 million organic impressions on posts in the previous three months and at least 500 verified followers.
