Apple TV has renewed its documentary series ‘Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars’ for a third season. The upcoming season will have eight episodes and will explore the world of international fine dining and Michelin-starred restaurants.
According to an Apple TV press release, the series is produced by Studio Ramsay Global, a Fox Entertainment company. Renowned chef Gordon Ramsay serves as the executive producer, while Jesse Burgess, a food and travel expert from Topjaw, hosts the show.
The series follows leading chefs and restaurants throughout the year-long Michelin Guide season. It gives viewers an inside look at the challenges chefs face while trying to win, maintain or lose a Michelin Star.
The documentary also highlights the personal journeys, hard work and sacrifices of chefs as they aim to earn recognition for their restaurants. A Michelin Star is considered one of the most prestigious honours in the culinary world.
The second season featured several notable restaurants, including Evvai, Latin America’s first three-Michelin-starred restaurant; Ynyshir, a two-star restaurant in Wales; and Troubadour, a restaurant in California that serves sandwiches during the day and offers fine dining at night.
The first season received a 100 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes. The series was also nominated in the Factual Entertainment category at the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards and won Best Popular Factual Programme at the 2026 Broadcast Digital Awards.
The first two seasons of ‘Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars’ are currently available to stream globally on Apple TV. The premiere date for the third season has not yet been announced.
