Amazon’s Prime Video yesterday unveiled its content slate for May 2026, outlining a mix of original series, films and library titles set to arrive on the platform through the month of May. The announcement highlights a blend of high-profile returning shows, new originals and a wide catalogue of films spanning genres.
Among the headline titles is ‘Citadel’ Season 2, which continues the global spy saga with Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, alongside the action-driven ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War’. Another marquee release is ‘Spider-Noir’, a stylised superhero series that brings a darker, noir-inspired narrative to the platform.
Prime Video’s May lineup also features several new originals including ‘Off Campus’, ‘It’s Not Like That’ and ‘No Place to Be Single’, expanding the service’s offering across romance, drama and young-adult storytelling. These titles form a key part of the streamer’s push to deliver diverse global content through the month.
In addition to originals, the service will add a wide selection of films at the start of May. These include titles such as ‘A Shot in the Dark’, ‘Agent Cody Banks’, ‘Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London’, ‘All Dogs Go to Heaven’, ‘Annie Hall’, ‘Babe’, ‘Babe: Pig in the City’, ‘Bad Words’, ‘Battleship’ and ‘Be Cool’, among others, catering to varied audience preferences.
The May slate reflects Prime Video’s continued strategy of combining original programming with a deep catalogue of licensed films, offering viewers both new releases and familiar favourites. The mix of genres—ranging from action and thriller to comedy and family entertainment—underscores the platform’s attempt to appeal to a broad subscriber base.
With a steady rollout of titles across the month, Prime Video aims to sustain viewer engagement through a balance of tentpole releases and catalogue additions. The inclusion of globally recognised franchises and fresh storytelling formats positions May 2026 as a significant month in the streamer’s content calendar.
Music: Apart from shows and films, Amazon has also lined up music events from across the globe. On May 5 airs the Amazon Music City Sessions, the global live concert series delivering exclusive performances, behind-the-scenes access, and intimate artist conversations with the launch of its Puerto Rico edition. The new multi-episode run spotlights Latin urban talent and streams on Prime Video, kicking off with reggaeton icon Yandel, with additional episodes slated for later in 2026.
On May 8-10, Rolling Loud will broadcast live on Amazon Music from Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. The three-day festival livestream features performances from some of the best talent in hip-hop, with hosts Speedy Morman, Lola Clark, and Sadprt providing exclusive backstage interviews and behind-the-scenes content throughout the weekend.
On May 17, the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards will stream live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. Taking place at the world-renowned MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the award celebration will feature performances from Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, and Miranda Lambert.
On May 23-24, Amazon Music brings Sueños Festival to a global audience with a livestream from Chicago, offering front-row access to performances from leading reggaeton and Latin trap artists. Fans can stream the festival on Prime Video, with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to one of the biggest Latin music events of the year.
