Prime Video has announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of the Tamil sci-fi romantic comedy ‘Love Insurance Kompany’, set to debut on May 6.
The film will be available across India and in more than 240 countries and territories, with the original Tamil version accompanied by dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
According to a Prime Video press release, the film is directed by Vignesh Shivan and features a strong ensemble cast including Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah, Krithi Shetty, Seeman, Yogi Babu, and Gouri Kishan in pivotal roles. Adding to the film’s appeal is its music, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, known for delivering chart-topping soundtracks.
Set in a futuristic 2040 Chennai, ‘Love Insurance Kompany’ explores a world where love is no longer left to fate but is insured and controlled by a powerful corporation. At the centre of the narrative is Suriyan, an ambitious CEO who believes relationships can be predicted through algorithms, and Vibe Vaasey, a free-spirited young man who challenges this notion, arguing that love must remain organic and unpredictable.
The story gains emotional depth as Vibe Vaasey crosses paths with Dheema, a woman who places complete trust in the system run by the company. Their evolving relationship becomes the battleground between logic and instinct, control and chaos. As their worlds collide, the film raises a compelling question—can genuine human connection survive in a reality where emotions are quantified and commodified?
Blending satire with romance and a futuristic lens, the film reflects contemporary anxieties around dating apps, curated identities, and algorithm-driven choices. At the same time, it attempts to preserve the essence of unpredictability that defines human relationships.
With its unique premise and relatable themes wrapped in a sci-fi setting, ‘Love Insurance Kompany’ positions itself as a thought-provoking entertainer aimed at modern audiences navigating love in a digital age.
