In a fun twist to the usual promotional run-up, Prime Video India has kicked off a highly interactive and witty social media campaign demanding an early release of the much-awaited ‘Panchayat Season 4’. As the show sets the stage for a high-stakes election battle between Manju Devi and Kranti Devi, the platform has taken the drama off-screen to build anticipation and it’s working wonders.

The campaign, is rooted in fan demand and the immense popularity that the Panchayat franchise continues to enjoy. Titled as a ‘referendum for early release’, the campaign dropped with mock election-style videos featuring cast members urging fans to vote in favour of releasing the show earlier than its scheduled date of July 2.

But the real twist? Brands from across categories jumped into the campaign trail, adding their own flair to the movement. From clever quips to puns and meme-worthy lines, the campaign saw participation from a slew of major brands, all rallying behind the hashtag #PanchayatNow — calling for the show’s early release in their own brand voices.

Participating names included AJIO, Burger King, Taco Bell, Rapido, McCain, KFC, Airtel, Bata India, Happydent, Manyavar, HDFC Bank, Pepperfry, Maaza, Domino’s India, Goibibo, To Be Honest, and ixigo, among others. Each brought their unique tone, flavour and humour into the mix, making the campaign both highly engaging and instantly viral.

Here are some standout taglines that caught the audience’s eye:
Burger King quipped, “Ab chhoti bhukh ke liye fries, aur lambi intezaar ke liye #PanchayatNow.”

Maaza asked, “Aam ki tarah Panchayat bhi jaldi mile toh mazaa hi kuch aur hai!”

Rapido revved in with, “Chalo, Prime Video se Panchayat uthwaate hain jaldi se!”

Domino’s India said, “30 minutes ka wait sahi hai, par Panchayat ke liye? Not acceptable. #PanchayatNow.”

HDFC Bank commented, “Interest tab tak hi banta hai jab tak Panchayat ka release date fixed nahi hota.”

The beauty of the campaign lies in how it merged the storytelling of Panchayat with the language of the internet participatory, meme-driven, and brand-savvy. Fans flooded comments, reposted brand punchlines, and actively engaged with the campaign, urging Prime Video to consider the crowd’s demand.

Panchayat, known for its slice-of-life storytelling, sharp writing, and heartfelt characters, has become one of India’s most loved OTT series. With stakes higher than ever in the fictional village of Phulera, the makers seem to be having as much fun as the fans in building up the buzz for Season 4.

Whether or not the release date moves up, Prime Video has certainly scored big in terms of audience engagement with brands, memes, and fans collectively echoing the sentiment: We want Panchayat, and we want it now.
