Netflix has unveiled a string of updates to its anime lineup at Anime Expo 2026, headlined by a new trailer for ‘Steel Ball Run JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’, confirmation of October premiere windows for Season 2 of ‘The Ramparts of Ice’ and ‘Delicious in Dungeon’, besides announcing a slate of anime series and films set to stream on the platform this summer.
For ‘Steel Ball Run JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’, Netflix debuted a new trailer, revealed three new characters — Mountain Tim, Hot Pants and Funny Valentine — and said the series will stream every Friday starting September 25, with 11 episodes in total.
The story follows Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli as they take on the second stage of a gruelling cross-America race through the desert, where ominous incidents and hidden motives reveal that the contest is far more than a simple competition.
Netflix, which had a major showcase at the Anime Expo 2026 held in California from June2-5, also confirmed in a statement yesterday that Season 2 of ‘The Ramparts of Ice’ will premiere in October 2026, accompanied by new teaser art.
Based on Kocha Agasawa’s manga, the series centres on socially withdrawn student Koyuki Hikawa, whose quiet life changes when Minato Amamiya tries to break through the emotional barriers she has built around herself, alongside friends Miki Azumi and Yota.
Season 2 of ‘Delicious in Dungeon’ has been set for an October 2027 release on Netflix, with new teaser art offering the first look at what lies ahead. The visual shows a chimerified Falin under the control of the Lunatic Magician Thistle as the party ventures into the deepest reaches of the dungeon in a bid to save her.
Netflix said anime titles currently streaming on the platform include ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ Season 1, ‘Chainsmoker Cat’, ‘Daemons of the Shadow Realm’ in select regions, and the Netflix series ‘Sparks of Tomorrow’.
The streamer also announced its anime releases for the rest of the summer. The Netflix series ‘Thunder 3’ will premiere on July 8, followed by ‘One Piece Heroines’ on July 11 in select regions and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 3 on July 23 in select regions.
The Netflix film ‘The Ribbon Hero’ will debut on August 8, while ‘Banana Fish’ will arrive on August 12 in select regions.
