The buzz around Yash’s upcoming film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ continues to grow, with Zee Music Company coming on board in a major music rights collaboration for the project. The deal marks one of the label’s most significant acquisitions in recent times and strengthens the film’s large-scale pan-India and global rollout strategy. The film is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the collaboration reflects a shared vision between the music label and the makers of the film to build a long-term creative partnership for future ventures. The association is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the film’s musical identity while amplifying its reach across multiple markets.
The film’s music album will feature high-impact, multi-composer soundtracks designed to create a powerful sonic world for the project. The soundtrack brings together diverse musical styles, blending emotion, mass appeal and cinematic scale. Composer Vishal Mishra will create four songs for the film, while Tanishk Bagchi will contribute one track co-composed with Arslan Nizami and Faheem Abdullah. Meanwhile, Ravi Basrur will deliver one song along with the film’s background score. The album is expected to produce genre-defining tracks that extend the film’s narrative and deepen its cinematic world.
Commenting on the development, Sujal Parekh, Chief Business Officer at Zee Music Company, said the film represents the true spirit of pan-India cinema with a vision that transcends language and regional boundaries. He noted that the soundtrack will be released across Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam under one unified platform, ensuring a seamless nationwide musical rollout designed to connect emotionally with audiences across markets.
Venkat K. Narayana, Chairman of KVN Productions, described the film’s music as central to its storytelling vision, adding that the collaboration with Zee Music marks the beginning of a long-term partnership built on shared ambition and a commitment to pushing cinematic music into new territories. He emphasised that the aim is to make music an experience that lives beyond the screen rather than just a supporting element.
Meanwhile, the film’s teaser has generated significant excitement among audiences, recording massive viewership within 24 hours of release and sparking widespread online discussions around Yash’s new character reveal titled “Ticket”. The promotional material has also heightened anticipation for further reveals featuring the film’s ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria.
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, who also directs the film, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is being shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and other languages. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026, underscoring its ambitious global vision and expansive cinematic scale.
