Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared the poster for his daughter Suhana’s Netflix debut film ‘The Archies’ on Monday.
The live-action musical, directed by Zoya Akhtar, will also feature Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor, as well as Agastya Nanda, the grandson of megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
While sharing the new poster for the upcoming film, Khan said on Monday that he grew up reading comic books and hopes the character of Big Moose, a great athlete but the poorest student at the fictional Riverdale High School, will appear in the film, PTI reported from Mumbai.
“I remember when I was younger (millions of years ago), I would reserve my Archie’s Digest to rent ahead of time.” Nostalgia. I hope Big Moose appears in the film as well! “Best wishes to the entire cast and love,” the 57-year-old actress wrote on Twitter.
Netflix has collaborated with Archie Comics on the 1960s-set film, a coming-of-age tale that will introduce the Riverdale teenagers to a new generation in India. Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina are the other four actors set to appear in the film.
‘The Archies’ is also being produced by Akhtar and Reema Kagti under their Tiger Baby label.
Meanwhile, Khan, who had a hit with ‘Pathaan,’ will next be seen in director Atlee’s action thriller ‘Jawan,’ which is set to hit theatres on September 7. Aside from that, he has Rajkumar Hirani’s next film, ‘Dunki,’ starring Taapsee Pannu, set to hit theatres.
