Priyanka Chopra Jonas, an actress, has disclosed why she left Bollywood to work in the United States. She claimed she was pushed into a corner because she had “beef with people.”
She also admitted that she was dissatisfied with the job she was receiving in the Hindi film industry. Priyanka told Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert that she felt “safe” for the first time during their discussion.
Talking about her music career, Priyanka said Anjula Acharia of Desi Hits spotted her in a music video and called her up when she was shooting for Saat Khoon Maaf. She asked if she would be interested in a music career in the US. “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break,” she said, IANS reported from New Delhi.
Kangana Ranaut, who does not shy away from speaking her mind, on Tuesday made an allegation against filmmaker Karan Johar, saying that he ‘banned’ global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas because of her friendship with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Everyone knows Karan Johar had banned her.” She even said that Karan “harassed” Priyanka.
