The official television broadcaster of the TATA IPL 2023, Star Sports, has appointed Rishabh Pant as its latest ‘Believe Ambassador.’
With the addition of Rishabh Pant, Star Sports now has a strong panel of current Cricketers as its ‘Believe Ambassadors’ including Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, and Shreya Iyer.
Star Sports’ list of ambassadors has grown from two in 2017 to six now, with Virat Kohli continuing his affiliation with India’s most popular sports destination.
The network will continue to create memorable ads with Kohli while also co-developing new products such as Indian Sports Honours, which will leverage the cricketer’s stardom for the benefit of the sport.
The ‘Believe Ambassadors’ represent various regions of the country as well as various IPL teams. Star Sports will collaborate closely with the Cricketers to create new programs and products to increase the sport’s popularity and fandom, particularly among young people.
Sanjog Gupta, Head – of Sports, at Disney Star, said, “We are thrilled to have Rishabh Pant join us as a ‘Believe Ambassador’. As a young, dynamic player with tremendous potential, Rishabh embodies the spirit of the game, and our brand values, and is a great addition to our expanding roster of cricketing heroes. We see each of these associations as an investment in the future of the sport. We always select Cricketers based on their potential to be ‘icons’ as well as proponents of the ‘Believe’ philosophy. We aim to build a diverse group of ‘Believe ambassadors’ who can inspire the next generation of cricket fans and players across the country.”
