The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the deadline for stakeholders to submit comments on its draft audit manual for Digital Rights Management (DRM)-based Digital Addressable Systems (DAS) to November 13, 2026.
In a notice issued on October 30, 2026, TRAI said the extension follows requests from stakeholders seeking additional time to examine the draft document. The authority noted that the subject involves complex technical, operational and regulatory aspects that require detailed consideration.
TRAI had released the Draft Telecommunication (Broadcasting & Cable) Services DRM Based Digital Addressable Systems Audit Manual, 2026 on October 9, 2026, inviting comments from stakeholders. The original deadline for submitting comments was October 30.
Following the requests for an extension, the regulator has now provided an additional period until November 13 for stakeholders to submit their written comments. TRAI has also clarified that no further requests for extension will be considered.
