Meta has added new features to improve connectivity, which includes conference calls.
The following are the new features that have been revealed: Calls from 32 people: You can now initiate a video or voice call with up to 32 people on your mobile device, which is four times the previous limit.
Participants can be messaged or muted: Long pressing on a participant will enlarge the video or audio feed and allow you to mute or message them separately while the calls remain active.
Call links: Whether you’re making a last-minute call or planning ahead of time, sharing a call link allows you to easily invite people to a group call.
It has also made functional changes to provide a more consistent calling experience:
Colorful waveforms: You can now tell who is speaking even if their camera is turned off.
iOS Picture in Picture: With a minimized in-call video screen, you can easily multitask while on a call, which is now in beta testing and will be available in 2023.
“While WhatsApp is best known for bringing private and secure messaging to people all over the world, more and more people are using it to connect with voice and video calls. “That’s why, over this year, we’ve launched several improvements to WhatsApp calling, for securely catching up with friends and family, colleagues and communities,” the company said.
