COLORS is set to bring a new story of courage, duty and service with its upcoming show ‘108 Base Hospital – Uri’.

The army hospital drama will premiere on Independence Day, August 15, and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM on COLORS and JioHotstar.

According to a JioStar press release issued in Mumbai on August 12, the show focuses on doctors, nurses and medical staff working at an Indian Army base hospital in Uri.

While soldiers fight on the battlefield, these medical professionals race against time to save their lives and give wounded soldiers another chance to return to the frontlines and their families.

Described as the first-ever army hospital series and a finite series, ‘108 Base Hospital – Uri’ is produced by The Epic Company and co-produced by A-Game Entertainment.

The show stars Erica Fernandes, Gashmeer Mahajani, Nikkhil Khurana, Smita Bansal, Ayoshi Talukdar and Hiten Tejwani. Erica Fernandes plays Dr. Major Naina, a fierce and dedicated Army doctor who remains calm under pressure while treating patients.

Gashmeer Mahajani plays Dr. Major Aniruddh, a compassionate and skilled doctor whose past with Naina has left unresolved differences between them.

Nikkhil Khurana plays Major Sameer Dixit, also known as Tiger, a brave soldier respected for his courage on the battlefield. Sameer develops feelings for Naina, adding an emotional angle to the story involving Naina and Aniruddh.

The show also features Ayoshi Talukdar as Dr. Captain Mili Banerjee, Hiten Tejwani as Dr. Col. Suryakant Thakur and Smita Bansal as Lt. Col. Principal Matron Kavita Jha.

The series highlights the lesser-known stories of Army doctors, nurses and medical teams who work under extreme pressure to save the lives of soldiers.

According to the makers, the show was developed after months of research involving the real-life experiences of Army doctors and officers. The production also involved filming at authentic locations and working with military and medical consultants.

‘108 Base Hospital – Uri’ premieres on August 15 and will thereafter air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM on COLORS and JioHotstar.
