Swift TV has announced a strategic partnership with GAIA OS, a smart TV operating system developed by CVTE, to expand its Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) ecosystem across more than 70 million connected devices globally. The collaboration will see the Swift TV application pre-installed on all devices powered by GAIA OS, significantly strengthening the platform’s international connected TV footprint.
According to Swift TV Press release, the partnership is expected to accelerate Swift TV’s presence across key markets, includng India, North America, Europe, and other emerging smart TV regions. Of the estimated 70 million connected devices covered under the integration, around 15 million are located in India, more than 8 million in Eastern Europe, and over 2 million in North America.
The move comes at a time when FAST services are witnessing rapid global growth as consumers increasingly embrace free, advertising-supported streaming platforms. While the model has already gained strong traction in markets such as North America and Europe through platforms like Tubi, Pluto TV, Roku, and Samsung, emerging markets are now experiencing a similar shift as connected TV adoption continues to rise.
Swift TV currently distributes more than 190 live FAST channels across entertainment, movies, music, devotional, regional, lifestyle, and news genres. By integrating with GAIA OS at the operating-system level, the company aims to improve discoverability and accessibility for viewers, allowing users to engage with its content ecosystem directly through their smart TV interfaces.
Industry observers note that connected TV advertising is among the fastest-growing segments within digital media, with advertising-supported streaming increasingly outperforming subscription-driven growth in several regions. Against this backdrop, Swift TV’s partnership with GAIA OS positions the company at the convergence of three major industry trends: the rise of FAST television, the expansion of connected TV operating systems, and the ongoing shift of advertising budgets from traditional linear television to connected TV environments.
The partnership is also expected to create new opportunities for advertisers seeking scalable connected TV audiences beyond mature streaming markets. With smart TV adoption accelerating in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, particularly in India, advertisers are increasingly looking for cost-effective inventory and broader audience reach. The integration allows demand partners to tap into growing connected TV viewership across emerging markets while benefiting from operating-system-level distribution.
Commenting on the development, Abhishek Singh, CEO and Founder of Swift TV, said the next phase of FAST growth will be driven not only by content offerings but also by smart TV distribution, operating system partnerships, and scalable connected TV infrastructure. He noted that the collaboration with GAIA OS strengthens Swift TV’s position within one of the fastest-growing smart TV ecosystems globally.
Singh added that the combination of high-growth markets such as India and established FAST markets in North America and Europe creates a compelling opportunity for advertisers looking to reach connected TV audiences that remain relatively underpenetrated compared to traditional Western streaming ecosystems. He also highlighted the company’s AdTech expertise through Germane Media as a key factor in delivering efficient monetisation solutions for advertisers.
With the new partnership, Swift TV is continuing its efforts to establish itself as a global FAST distribution and monetisation platform, focusing on expanding reach across rapidly growing connected TV audiences worldwide.
