Prime Video, India’s premier entertainment destination, has once again captivated audiences with a unique and innovative marketing campaign for the highly anticipated launch of ‘Panchayat‘ Season 3, set to premiere on May 28.
The campaign’s centerpiece is none other than the humble ‘lauki’ (bottle gourd), transformed into giant inflatable balloons that have become the talk of the town.
As per a press release, building on the success of their previous hybrid marketing efforts, Prime Video introduced these lauki-shaped inflatable balloons as part of a three-day campaign from May 25 to May 27.
The balloons, emblazoned with the ‘Panchayat‘ premiere date, were mounted on taxis and placed in strategic, high-traffic areas across Mumbai, Delhi, and Jaipur. This simple yet brilliant idea turned an often-overlooked vegetable into a captivating symbol, sparking curiosity and conversation beyond just the show’s fanbase.
The campaign cleverly mirrors the essence of ‘Panchayat‘, where ordinary elements take on extraordinary significance. In Mumbai, residents spotted these massive lauki balloons at Juhu Beach and Carter Road, while in Jaipur, the balloons were a notable presence at the iconic Raj Mandir movie theatre. As of May 27, Delhiites can see the balloons at popular locations such as Connaught Place and South Extension.
Mitul Sangani, CEO – Indian Languages, News18 Network, commented on this achievement, saying, “We owe our position as the leading Hindi news platform to our dedicated viewers, who made us their first choice during this crucial election season. Our viewers’ trust drives us to persistently enhance our coverage and deliver news that not only informs but also empowers.”
This imaginative campaign has not only kept ‘Panchayat‘ fans eagerly awaiting the new season but has also generated widespread buzz and anticipation. Prime Video’s use of the lauki as a marketing mascot demonstrates the power of simplicity in creating a memorable and effective promotional strategy. The giant lauki balloons have successfully turned heads and generated excitement, ensuring that ‘Panchayat‘ Season 3 is an unmissable event for viewers.
Prime Video’s innovative approach to marketing continues to set a high standard in the industry, showcasing their commitment to engaging and entertaining audiences in novel ways. As the premiere date approaches, the excitement for ‘Panchayat‘ Season 3 is palpable, promising another season of compelling storytelling and beloved characters.
