K-pop supergroup Blackpink has officially set the stage for its long-awaited comeback with the release of the first concept teaser poster for its third mini-album, ‘Deadline’. The reveal has sparked excitement among fans worldwide, marking the beginning of the countdown to the group’s first full-group release in over three years.
According to a UNI report, YG Entertainment shared the teaser on Friday through its official blog, offering an early glimpse into the album’s visual tone and atmosphere. The poster features striking close-ups of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, carefully styled to tease the mood of the upcoming release while keeping key details under wraps.
Shot in a sleek black-and-white palette, the concept poster leans into minimalism and sophistication. Polished updos, bold statement accessories and sculptural poses are paired with pristine white outfits and delicate hand details, creating visuals that feel both elegant and intense. Even in its restrained presentation, the teaser hints at a refined yet powerful comeback.
The brief reveal has only heightened anticipation for the sonic and visual world Blackpink is expected to unveil with ‘Deadline’. The group’s signature charisma shines through, suggesting a return that balances grace with impact and reinforces their distinct global identity.
Deadline is scheduled for release on February 27 at 2 pm KST (10:30 am IST). The mini-album marks Blackpink’s first collective project in three years and five months, following their 2022 album ‘Born Pink’, and expectations are running high among fans and industry watchers alike.
The announcement comes soon after the conclusion of Blackpink’s massive world tour, which included 33 shows across 16 cities. During the tour, the group made history as the first K-pop girl group to headline London’s Wembley Stadium and continued to sell out stadiums across the globe, cementing their status as a world-class act.
Since their debut in August 2016 under YG Entertainment, Blackpink has grown into the world’s leading girl group, delivering chart-topping hits and record-breaking albums. They are the first K-pop girl group to achieve both million-seller and double million-seller status, and the first Asian female artists to top both the U.S. Billboard 200 and the U.K. Official Albums Chart simultaneously. With ‘Deadline’, the quartet is poised to once again make a strong mark on the global music stage.
