The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday unveiled the official song of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, titled Feel the Thrill, with music composed and sung by popular composer Anirudh Ravichander. The high-energy track was released across ICC’s digital platforms, marking the beginning of the build-up to the marquee global tournament.
According to an ANI report, the anthem captures the pulse of T20 cricket and features iconic moments from past editions of the World Cup. The English lyrics of Feel the Thrill have been penned by Heisenberg, while the Hindi lyrics are written by Raqueeb Alam, blending global appeal with an Indian flavour.
Sharing the song on its official X handle, the ICC wrote, “A song made for the biggest stage. The wait is over. The magic is here. Presenting the Official Event Song of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026: Feel it. Sing it. Live it.” The anthem aims to mirror the excitement, intensity and emotion associated with the shortest format of the game.
Anirudh Ravichander, one of the most sought-after music composers in Indian cinema today, has delivered chart-topping soundtracks for films such as ‘Jailer’, ‘Jawan’, ‘Master’, ‘Beast’, ‘Leo’ and ‘Indian 2’. His association with the World Cup anthem adds star power to the tournament’s promotional campaign, with the song already gaining traction among cricket fans and music lovers alike.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to be a major event for Indian cricket, with the team placed in Group A alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, Namibia, the Netherlands and the USA. India will kick off their campaign against the USA in Mumbai on February 7, while the much-anticipated clash against Pakistan is scheduled to take place in Colombo on February 15.
If India manages to successfully defend their title, they will become the first team in history to do so in the T20 World Cup. A title win would also hand India their third T20 World Cup trophy, making them the most successful side in the tournament’s history.
India’s squad for the tournament includes Suryakumar Yadav as captain, along with Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Rinku Singh.
