Streaming giant Netflix yesterday announced the third season of its International Emmy-winning series ‘Delhi Crime’, which will see Shefali Shah’s DIG Vartika Chaturvedi handling a nationwide human trafficking case as Huma Quereshi has been added to the cast. Saif Ali Khan made an appearance at the event in Mumbai post a recent attack on him that had necessitated spinal surgeries.
According to PTI reports from Mumbai, the new season of ‘Delhi Crime’, directed by Tanuj Chandra, is also bringing back Rasika Dugal as Neeti Singh and Rajesh Tailang as Bhupendra Singh. The new antagonist is Qureshi, while Sayani Gupta also features in a pivotal role.
Rajkummar Rao announced his new film ‘Toaster’ on Netflix, produced by his actor-wife Patralekhaa.
The movie also stars Sanya Malhotra, Archana Puran Singh, Upendra Limaye, Farah Khan, Abhishek Banerjee and Seema Pahwa.
Directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary, the story of ‘Toaster’ revolves around a miser fixated on a toaster amid murder and mayhem. It marks the first film produced by Patralekhaa under her and Rao’s banner Kampa Films.
Streamer Netflix on Monday gave a glimpse into ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’, a modern day love story, starring R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
The project, directed by Vivek Soni of ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar’ fame, was unveiled at Netflix’s 2025 slate announcement event.
The movie is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital arm of Dharma Productions. ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ presents a heart-warming romantic drama that delves into the lives of two unique individuals, Shrirenu Tripathi (Madhavan) and Madhu Bose (Shaikh).
Writer-director Sudip Sharma offered a first look from the second season of his critically-acclaimed crime thriller series ‘Kohrra’.
Actor Barun Sobti is returning as Garundi, a young police officer, with Mona Singh joining him in the Punjab-set police procedural show, which launched with its smash hit first season in July 2023.
The new season is directed by showrunner, producer and co-creator Sharma along with Faisal Rahman.
Meanwhile, in his first public appearance since the knife attack at his home last month, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan on Monday attended the slate announcement event of streaming service Netflix and said it feels “nice to be standing” in front of an audience.
The 54-year-old actor was stabbed repeatedly by an intruder during a robbery attempt at his 12th floor residence in Satguru Sharan in Mumbai’s Bandra area in the early hours of January 16. He underwent surgery and was discharged four days later.
Saif’s latest movie ‘Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins’ was announced at the event. Co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat, the film is a heist drama by filmmaker Robbie Grewal and Kookie Gulati.
These shows were amongst the many others also unveiled at the Netflix event.
