‘Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20’ has made a strong start on JioHotstar, recording the biggest opening day ever for a reality show on the streaming platform. The milestone season premiered on September 6 on JioHotstar and COLORS.

According to a JioStar press release on Sept 7, 2026, hosted by Salman Khan, the 20th season of ‘Bigg Boss’ has received a strong response from viewers. The new season features the ‘Tathas-Two’ theme, Extra Jeevan Daan and a completely new ‘Bigg Boss’ house.

The grand premiere featured Salman Khan introducing the new theme and welcoming the contestants into the house. The launch episode also included dance and musical performances, along with the first look at the contestants and the drama expected to unfold during the season.

According to JioStar, the new season has brought together contestants from different backgrounds. Their presence has already started conversations on social media, adding to the excitement around the show.
