Professional networking giant LinkedIn has announced the appointment of Deepak Agarwal as its new Chief AI Officer (CAIO). Bringing 24 years of experience in engineering and artificial intelligence to the role, Agarwal’s return to LinkedIn marks a pivotal step in the company’s AI journey, IANS reported.
This is Agarwal’s second stint leading AI at LinkedIn. Previously, he served as the Vice President of AI for eight years, during which he was instrumental in developing large-scale AI innovations that continue to underpin much of LinkedIn’s current AI infrastructure.
Expressing his excitement, Agarwal shared, “I am thrilled to rejoin LinkedIn as the company’s Chief AI Officer. LinkedIn has a long and impressive history of using AI to personalize user experiences, fostering professional growth and enabling businesses to thrive.”
