JioStar is set to bring all six regional editions of ‘Bigg Boss’ together for the first time this festive season. The company announced that the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada,Malayalam and Bangla versions of the reality show will begin rolling out from September 2026.
All editions will air on the JioStar television network and stream on JioHotstar.According to a JioStar today’s press release,the upcoming seasons will feature a star studded lineup of hosts.
Salman Khan will return for the Hindi edition, while Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal will host the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions, respectively.
Former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly will make his debut as the host of the Bangla edition.Along with the announcement, JioStar also unveiled ‘India’s Bigg Reality’, a coffee table book that captures the 20-year journey of the ‘Bigg Boss’ franchise.
The book showcases the show’s growth, audience reach and the role it has played as a marketing platform for brands. ‘Bigg Boss’ reached more than 500 million viewers across its six language editions in 2025 and generated over 438 billion viewing minutes.
The company said audience engagement grew 47 percent year on year, highlighting the show’s continued popularity across television and digital platforms.
The company also revealed that more than 625 brands from 46 categories, including 49 first-time advertisers, partnered with the franchise in 2025. On JioHotstar, 6 out of every 10 viewers watched the 24×7 live feed, allowing brands such as Tide and Silver Coin Atta to remain visible beyond regular episode sponsorships.
The coffee table book highlights how brands were integrated into the show through activities such as Snack and Snack’s drone delivery, Vaseline branded tasks, the elevator activation and the Spy Kuttan robot, giving advertisers opportunities to engage directly with viewers instead of relying only on traditional commercial breaks.
JioStar said audience participation remained one of the franchise’s biggest strengths. During the 2025 season, viewers cast more than 9.32 billion votes and exchanged 43 million live chat messages on JioHotstar. According to the company, nearly three out of every four viewers interacted with the show beyond simply watching the episodes.
The franchise also maintained a strong presence on social media, generating over 1.7 billion social media engagements and 30 million use -generated memes in 2025. JioStar said this helped extend brand campaigns beyond television and kept the show part of online conversations throughout the season.
The company further said ‘Bigg Boss’ reaches more than 200 million viewers in Hindi-speaking markets and over 300 million viewers across South India. In the southern market, 8 out of every 10 television viewers watch the show, while its reach is 3.5 times higher than all other reality shows in the region combined, according to JioStar.
JioStar also claimed that advertisers benefited from the show’s large audience base. During the 2025 season, participating brands recorded an average 1.33x increase in brand awareness, 1.26x growth in consumer consideration and 1.25x increase in purchase intent. The company cited collaborations with Mamaearth, VZY and Jar App as examples of successful brand integrations.
Commenting on the announcement, Mahesh Shetty, Head – Entertainment Sales, TV, JioStar, said bringing all six editions together marks the biggest milestone in the history of the franchise. He added that ‘India’s Bigg Reality’ documents how ‘Bigg Boss’ has evolved from a reality show into a cultural phenomenon and an important platform for advertisers.
