Netflix is lining up an Indian comedy slate spanning blockbuster films, stand-up, unscripted shows and returning favourites, bringing together established entertainers and newer comic voices under its theme of ‘Har Type Ka Funny’ (all types of comedy) this season.

The comedy push begins with the adventure-comedy franchise film ‘Dhamaal 4’, followed by quirky family entertainer ‘Chumbak’, from the makers of ‘Khichdi’ and ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’.

Zakir Khan’s stand-up special ‘Papa Yaar’ will offer a heartfelt comic take on the complex, often unspoken dynamics between Indian fathers and their sons.

Netflix is also bringing back ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ for Season 5, promising another mix of warmth, chaos and laughter.

The slate will also feature returning and new voices. Bhuvan Bam’s ‘Dhindora’ is returning for a second season, while comedian Sumukhi Suresh is joining Netflix with her distinctive voice and humour.

More of Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ is also on the way, including a recently released Netflix-exclusive episode featuring Varun Dhawan.

“That’s the spirit behind our comedy slate — we’ve brought the most exciting entertainers, voices and stories across films, series and stand-up specials to make sure there’s a laugh for everyone,” she added.

Netflix said its wider library will continue to offer a mix of Indian and global comedy, with the new slate bringing together established favourites, distinctive comic voices and stories aimed at audiences across generations.
