Eros Innovation has unveiled Eros Music Worlds, a new AI-powered music platform that aims to combine technology, storytelling, and artist legacies while creating new opportunities for music intellectual property. The company also announced a landmark partnership with the family of legendary playback singer Mohammed Rafi, marking a significant step in blending heritage with emerging technologies.
Positioned as a next-generation music ecosystem rather than a traditional record label, Eros Music Worlds will focus on multiple content categories, including character-led music franchises, non-film music, devotional content, folk and sufi genres, legacy artist projects, and live experiences.
One of the platform’s most ambitious initiatives is the creation of AI-native music artists inspired by iconic film characters from the Eros catalogue. The first phase introduces Jordan and Tanu as virtual music personalities, while additional characters such as Munna, Langda Tyagi, and Mudit will be launched in stages. The company believes these character-based music franchises can extend storytelling beyond films and create long-term audience engagement.
The platform is powered by Eros’ proprietary Large Cultural Models (LCMs), which have been trained exclusively on licensed and rights-cleared content. According to the company, the technology has been designed to expand creative possibilities while maintaining strong intellectual property protections and legal safeguards.
A major highlight of the launch is the introduction of Eros Legacy Voices, a programme created in collaboration with the Mohammed Rafi family. The initiative will include new recordings, a dedicated live concert format, and the establishment of the Mohammed Rafi Academy, aimed at nurturing future generations of musical talent.
The first project under the partnership is scheduled to be released on July 31, coinciding with the birth anniversary of the legendary singer.
Speaking about the initiative, Ridhima Lulla, Co-founder and Co-president of Eros Innovation, said the platform seeks to combine technological innovation with human creativity rather than replace artists. She noted that the company’s cultural AI models would allow audiences to experience beloved film characters through music while ensuring creative direction remains guided by human talent.
Kumar Ahuja, Chief Executive Officer of Eros Music Worlds, described the venture as a new framework for creating, experiencing, and monetising music intellectual property, where entertainment characters evolve into enduring franchises and iconic artists find renewed relevance through immersive technologies.
For the Rafi family, the collaboration represents an effort to preserve and extend the legendary singer’s influence for future generations. Shahid Rafi said the initiative has been developed with respect, consent, and a commitment to honouring Mohammed Rafi’s contribution to Indian music while introducing his legacy to younger audiences.
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the entertainment industry, Eros Music Worlds is betting on a future where technology, storytelling, and cultural heritage work together. By giving film characters a musical identity and reviving iconic voices through structured partnerships, the company aims to build a new model for music creation and audience engagement.
