Eros Innovation has announced a major new content strategy that aims to transform popular films and mythological stories into large-scale entertainment franchises. the company has unveiled three new initiatives Eros Brahmand, Eros Universe, and Eros Remastered focused on creating interconnected storytelling worlds, expanding successful film properties, and restoring classic movies.
The biggest announcement is Eros Brahmand, a mythology-inspired cinematic universe featuring nine interconnected titles based on Indian mythology and folklore. the slate includes Nandi – War of Kailasa, Dwaarka: Gateway to the Universe, Vimaan Wars, Mahabharat 5000 A.D., Yakshinis, Brahmarakshak, Garuda, Kumbhayanna, and Mansa Devi.
According to a Eros Innovation press release , these projects will exist within a shared storytelling universe, allowing characters, themes, and narratives to connect across multiple films and formats.
Eros has also launched Eros Universe, a new initiative that will expand some of its most popular film titles into larger franchises. The lineup includes ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ ,’Phobia’, ‘English’ Vinglish’, ‘Desi Boyz’, ‘Rangeela’, and ‘Tere Naam’.
These stories are expected to be developed across films, animation projects, and short-form content, giving audiences fresh narratives connected to familiar and successful titles.
Among the announced projects, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ – The Next Chapter is one of the most anticipated. the film will be directed by Mitakshara Kumar and co-produced with Rudrak Soma Jyoti Limited. Production is expected to begin in 2026.
The third pillar of the company’s strategy is Eros Remastered, which focuses on restoring and reintroducing classic films to modern audiences. the initiative will begin with ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, India’s first motion-capture feature film starring Rajinikanth. the film will be restored and reimagined under the guidance of Soundarya Rajinikanth.
Speaking about the new vision, Eros innovation founder and chairman Kishore Lulla said the company is bringing together mythology-inspired storytelling, established film franchises, and classic cinema under a single creative strategy. He added that the goal is to create stories that can connect with audiences across different generations and platforms.
Co-founder and co-president Ridhima Lulla said the new slate reflects the company’s focus on reinventing well-known stories while exploring fresh storytelling formats for today’s viewers.
With mythology-based universes, franchise expansions, and remastered classics, Eros Innovation is positioning itself to build long-term entertainment brands rather than standalone films. the strategy signals a growing trend in the industry, where content creators are increasingly focusing on interconnected worlds and franchise storytelling.
