Sony MAX is set to bring Yash Raj Films’ ‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, to television with its World Television Premiere on October 31 at 8 pm. The action entertainer follows the story of two deadly women and promises high-octane action, slick visuals and a thrilling cinematic experience for viewers during the festive season.
According to a press release, directed by Shiv Rawail, the film also features Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. Alia Bhatt steps into a never-seen-before avatar as an assassin raised and trained to kill, while Sharvari joins her in a story that celebrates the fearless attitude of two women operating in a high-stakes world.
With its grand scale and immersive storytelling, ‘Alpha’ aims to bring a larger-than-life action experience to television audiences across generations. The film’s premiere is part of Sony MAX’s festive line-up, which focuses on high-voltage entertainment and Bollywood films for family viewing.
Speaking about the television premiere, Alia Bhatt said, “With its television premiere on Sony MAX, Alpha gets to reach audiences in a whole new way. We put a lot of thought and energy into the action, the characters and the emotional journey of the film, so it’s exciting to see that journey continue beyond the theatres and into people’s homes.”
She added that the festive season offers an opportunity for films to become part of family movie nights. While viewers who have not watched ‘Alpha’ will get a chance to experience it for the first time, those who have already seen it may find a reason to revisit the film. Alia also said it was rewarding as an actor to see a film continue to find new audiences.
Sharvari also expressed excitement about the film reaching viewers through television, describing ‘Alpha’ as a special and rewarding journey.
“Alpha has been such an exciting and special journey for me, and seeing it now make its way to television feels incredibly rewarding. We put so much into the action, the emotions and the world of the film, so it’s exciting to know that it will now reach audiences in a completely new way,” she said.
The actor added that watching a film like ‘Alpha’ at home during the festive season makes it possible for families to share its action sequences and emotional moments together. She also praised Sony MAX for bringing larger-than-life cinema into viewers’ homes and said she hoped both first-time viewers and those returning to the film would enjoy the experience.
With Alia Bhatt and Sharvari leading the story, alongside Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, ‘Alpha’ brings action and female-led storytelling to Sony MAX’s festive programming. The World Television Premiere is scheduled for October 31 at 8 pm, exclusively on Sony MAX.
