The 2026 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) has emerged as the most-watched season since the tournament’s inception, with official digital and broadcast partner JioStar reporting record-breaking viewership across both digital and television platforms, Deccan Chronicle reports.
The season, which concluded on February 5, witnessed historic audience engagement, highlighting the rapidly growing popularity of women’s cricket in India. The final saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru lift their second WPL title after defeating Delhi Capitals in a high-intensity clash.
The digital reach for WPL 2026 grew by 17 per cent compared to the 2025 season, while overall content consumption surged by 69 per cent, indicating strong multi-platform engagement.
