Netflix India has announced its new documentary ‘The Last Salute: A Love Letter To MiG-21’, which celebrates the iconic fighter aircraft and its long association with the Indian Air Force.
In a post on its official Instagram account, Netflix India said the documentary would stream from August 26, exclusively on Netflix. The announcement also introduced the film as a tribute to the MiG-21 and its six-decade journey in the skies.
The documentary explores the MiG-21’s 62-year journey with the Indian Air Force and features stories from generations of pilots who flew the fighter aircraft.
Directed by Kushal Srivastava and produced by Matchbox Shots, the documentary features Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh along with MiG-21 pilots. It brings their personal experiences and memories of flying the aircraft to the screen.
