Danish actor Sidse Babett Knudsen has joined the cast of Season 2 of Netflix’s Danish crime thriller series ‘The Asset (Legenden)’.

Knudsen, known for her work in ‘Borgen’, ‘Westworld’ and ‘After the Wedding’, will play a central role in the second season. Netflix has not yet revealed details about her character and is expected to share more information closer to the season’s premiere.

According to a Netflix press release yesterday, production on Season 2 has already started in Denmark. The new season will continue the story of the Danish crime thriller following the success and critical response to its first season.

Knudsen said she is excited to join the second season and described the role as interesting and challenging. She also praised the cast and creative team for making her feel welcome during the production.

The returning cast includes Clara Dessau, Maria Cordsen, Afshin Firouzi, Nicolas Bro and Soheil Bavi, along with Knudsen. Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm is the conceptual director, while Jacob Jarek, Marta Mleczek and Matilda Appelin are the producers.

Season 2 will consist of six episodes and is being produced by Profile Pictures for Netflix. The streaming platform has not yet announced the premiere date.
