India’s growing influence in global innovation was on full display at the Doers Summit Dubai 2025, where founders, investors and policymakers from the country emerged as some of the most prominent voices shaping conversations about the future of technology and entrepreneurship.
The two-day summit, held on November 26–27 at Dubai Digital Park in Dubai Silicon Oasis, drew more than 3,000 participants from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States. Over 150 speakers shared insights across three stages focused on AI, fintech, digital infrastructure, climate tech, mobility, deeptech and emerging business models.
The event’s detailed programme and highlights were shared in a LinkedIn post announcing the participation of key Indian leaders and the central themes that shaped the gathering. The post underscored India’s growing reputation as a country that is not just contributing to innovation but actively steering global conversations around technology, governance and future-facing entrepreneurship.
One of the strongest messages came from Shri Suresh Prabhu, India’s former Union Minister and a respected international statesman, who urged innovators to move beyond rhetoric and embrace responsibility. He pointed out that the world is facing multiple man-made crises — from climate change and geopolitical conflicts to economic disparities and social discrimination — and said these challenges require real problem-solvers. “Dynamic ideas from real doers will solve these problems with ingenious entrepreneurial interventions. I met many such doers at this remarkable summit in Dubai,” he said. He added that he has always encouraged entrepreneurs to take ownership of their ideas rather than relying on others to execute them.
Adding an investor’s perspective, Ameya Prabhu, Partner at UAP Advisors and Managing Director at NAFA Capital, emphasised that capital today has a dual responsibility — to meet immediate needs while supporting future-ready businesses capable of withstanding rapid technological shifts. He highlighted governance as the strongest determinant of whether cities and countries can truly thrive in the long run.
Throughout the summit, Indian founders, operators and corporate leaders highlighted India’s accelerated rise in AI and deeptech, its leadership in fintech and digital public infrastructure, and its expanding influence in climate-tech and impact-led entrepreneurship. Many speakers reinforced the idea that India’s entrepreneurial DNA — built on scale, resilience and innovation — is now enabling its builders to operate at a global level. Avinash Mudaliar, CEO and Co-Founder of HT Labs, described the summit as a “meeting of minds that refuse to wait for the future,” noting that the conversations were raw, ambitious and sharply solution-oriented.
At the same time, the summit strengthened Dubai’s positioning as a rapidly evolving global hub for frontier innovation. Key discussions centred around using advanced technologies to solve global challenges, building cross-border ecosystems linking India with the Middle East and beyond, and enabling founders with capital, mentorship and access to new markets. Amit Jain, Chief Investment Officer at Gulf Islamic Investments, noted that large-scale investments in AI are set to transform value chains across industries, while venture leaders such as Ravi Metta of BAT VC stressed that deeptech will play a defining role in reshaping the future.
The organisers highlighted how significantly the Indian community contributed to the summit’s energy and depth. “India doesn’t just participate in global innovation, it propels it forward,” said Dušan Duffek, Co-Founder of Doers Summit, who added that Indian thinkers and builders elevated every conversation. Stylianos Lambrou, Co-Founder of the summit, noted that Dubai is fast becoming a proving ground for globally focused builders, including a growing cohort from India.
As the summit concluded, there was a common sentiment among Indian delegates: India’s moment on the global innovation stage is not merely a narrative but a reflection of real execution, ambition and problem-solving at scale. The Doers Summit Dubai 2025 did more than highlight Indian participation — it spotlighted Indian leadership and reaffirmed Dubai’s rising claim as a contender for the world’s next Silicon Valley.
