Netflix has unveiled the trailer for ‘Baramulla’, its upcoming supernatural thriller set in the hauntingly beautiful valleys of Kashmir, promising a chilling cinematic experience.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale — known for Article 370 — the film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios along with Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar of B62 Studios.

This marks Netflix’s second collaboration with the production houses following their previous success, the romantic comedy Dhoom Dhaam. The film premieres on November 7 and stars Manav Kaul, Bhasha Sumbli, Arista Mehta, and Rohaan Singh in pivotal roles.

According to the Netflix press release, ‘Baramulla’ begins with the mysterious disappearance of a young boy during a magic show — an incident that unravels a chilling chain of events.

Set against the mist-laden backdrop of Kashmir, the story follows DSP Ridwaan Shafi Sayyid (Manav Kaul), a hard-nosed police officer battling his own demons as he investigates the sudden vanishing of children in the valley. Alongside his wife Gulnaar (Bhasha Sumbli) and their children Noorie (Arista Mehta) and Ayaan (Rohaan Singh), Ridwaan experiences a series of eerie, inexplicable occurrences at home. From hearing phantom footsteps to sensing unseen presences, the family’s life descends into an unsettling spiral where the line between reality and the supernatural begins to blur.

Speaking about the film, director Aditya Suhas Jambhale shared, “With the trailer, we wanted to give audiences just a glimpse into the intriguing world of Baramulla. The story begins as a mystery thriller, but slowly pulls you into something far more emotional and psychological. It’s about fear — not just the kind that lurks in the dark, but the kind that lives within us. Collaborating with Netflix, Jio Studios, and B62 Studios has allowed me to tell this story with the honesty, scale, and vision we had imagined.”

Manav Kaul, who leads the cast, said, “The trailer captures the mystique and stillness that defines Baramulla. It’s not loud horror — it’s the kind that creeps up on you. Being a Kashmiri from Baramulla myself, the script felt like a sign from the universe. This story speaks of the valley’s beauty, silence, and pain. With Netflix, Jio Studios, and B62 Studios coming together, this world has been brought to life with authenticity and heart.”

Rooted deeply in Kashmir’s mystique and cultural undercurrents, ‘Baramulla’ blends supernatural dread with emotional realism. Myths breathe, memories linger, and the valley itself becomes a living, breathing character — one that watches, whispers, and remembers.
