Varun Dhawan, Prime Video’s beloved ‘Prime Bae’, has once again proven why he’s the king of charm and comedy.
In a now-viral video released by the streaming platform, the actor was seen bursting into a marketing team meeting at Prime Video India’s office with a bag full of “outrageous, crazy, and pathbreaking” ideas for the Indian campaign of their latest action-comedy, ‘Heads of State.’
According to a Prime Video press note, the surprise appearance was packed with Varun’s signature humour. From proposing the Hindi title ‘Desh ke Sir – Baaki Sab Be-asar’, to suggesting India’s famous Sutli bomb as an action effect, to even offering to dub for all three lead characters—including Priyanka Chopra Jonas—Dhawan’s antics left everyone in splits. His spirited involvement, though slightly offbeat, certainly stole the spotlight and added an unexpected flair to the film’s marketing rollout.
‘Heads of State’, directed by Ilya Naishuller, features a star-studded cast including John Cena, Idris Elba, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Also starring Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid and Sarah Niles, the high-octane film blends action and comedy against a backdrop of political chaos. It is now streaming exclusively on Prime Video in six languages—English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The film is part of Prime Video’s Prime Day 2025 line-up, with Amazon’s much-awaited Prime Day scheduled from July 12 to 14.
