The 33rd Convergence India Expo 2026 and the 11th Smart Future Cities India Expo 2026 concluded on March 25, at Bharat Mandapam after three days of discussions, product showcases and collaborations across sectors including telecom, 6G, IoT, fintech, AI, cybersecurity, smart mobility and digital governance.
According to a press release issued by the organisers, the expo brought together around 1,000 participants from 25 countries and attracted over 50,000 attendees. Positioned as one of India’s largest technology showcases under the theme “India’s Impact: Tech Today, Transformation Tomorrow,” the event also featured participation from nearly 200 startups presenting their innovations.
The conference segment saw more than 50 sessions with over 250 speakers, covering areas such as AI and digital infrastructure, smart cities, fintech and next-generation connectivity. Discussions ranged from emerging technologies to real-world deployment, with key focus areas including 6G, quantum technologies, digital trust, healthcare innovation and future cities.
The event was marked by the presence of Chirag Paswan, Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, who addressed the gathering as Chief Guest. He highlighted the role of advanced technologies and AI in modernising agriculture, improving productivity and driving value addition across the food processing value chain.
Among other senior government representatives, Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and IT and CEO of the IndiaAI Mission, spoke about India’s potential to become a global hub for AI inferencing, backed by strong talent, startups and increasing industry participation. He emphasised the growing use of AI across sectors such as healthcare, mobility and agriculture.
The event also saw participation from policymakers including Anil Kumar Lahoti, Durga Shanker Mishra and senior representatives from the Department of Science & Technology and the Reserve Bank of India, along with global delegates such as Sergey Cheremin and Juan Antonio March Pujol.
Leading industry players including Microsoft, Zoom, Reliance Jio, Nokia and HCLTech were among those present on the exhibition floor, alongside several domestic and global brands.
A key highlight was the Startup Hub, which hosted over 200 startups participating in pitch competitions, investor connects and mentorship sessions. Zerowatt Energy emerged as the winner this year, earning the Prem Behl award and an opportunity to participate in global platforms such as GITEX Europe and CES Las Vegas. In the Smart Mobility segment, Goparkk Technology Private Limited was recognised with the ‘Emerging Innov8r Award’ for its work in next-generation mobility solutions.
Dedicated zones such as AI Bharat Expo, Fintech India Expo, Smart Mobility India Expo and IoT Expo, along with international pavilions from New Zealand, Moscow and Taiwan Excellence, added to the scale of the event. The launch of the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion also marked a step forward in AI and digital infrastructure collaboration between India and Taiwan.
Commenting on the conclusion of the event, Chandrika Behl, Managing Director of Exhibition India Group, said the expo reflected the scale of transformation underway in India, with a strong focus on moving from dialogue to deployment and building inclusive, scalable and future-ready solutions.
Over the years, Convergence India Expo has established itself as a key platform supporting initiatives such as Digital India and Make in India, showcasing advancements across telecom, AI, cloud, IoT, fintech and semiconductor technologies. The 2026 edition reinforced its position as a hub for global collaboration and innovation, highlighting India’s growing role in the global technology ecosystem.
