Warner Bros. Discovery India has announced the launch of a new travel and food series, ‘World On My Plate with Shipra Khanna’, set to premiere on March 29 at 7 pm on TLC. The show brings together food, travel and culture through an immersive format, led by celebrated chef and television personality Shipra Khanna.
According to a press release, the series is designed as a personal culinary journey, where Shipra Khanna explores not just what people eat, but the deeper stories, traditions and human connections behind each dish. Spread across three visually rich episodes, the show captures moments from diverse global destinations, blending storytelling with cultural exploration.
At its core, ‘World On My Plate’ focuses on discovery—of places, people and the shared language of food. The show follows Shipra as she navigates bustling city streets and quieter countryside settings, engaging with local communities and uncovering the cultural context that shapes cuisines. The approach aims to create a narrative that feels intimate, relatable and rooted in real experiences.
The series begins in London, where Shipra explores the city’s iconic landmarks alongside its evolving culinary landscape, bringing together elements of history and modern flavours. The journey then moves to Spain, where vineyards, olive orchards and coastal kitchens provide the backdrop for a deeper exploration of food traditions, community life and regional identity.
Tanaz Mehta, Head Advertising Revenues – South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery, said the show aligns with TLC’s focus on authentic storytelling that reflects how people live and connect. She noted that using food as a lens allows the series to explore shared traditions across geographies while adding a fresh global dimension to the channel’s lifestyle programming.
Shipra Khanna described the series as a deeply personal project, highlighting how food has always been her way of connecting with people and understanding cultures. She said the show gave her an opportunity to step into new environments, learn from diverse individuals and share stories that go beyond the plate.
With its emphasis on visual storytelling and meaningful interactions, ‘World On My Plate with Shipra Khanna’ aims to offer viewers a fresh perspective on global cuisine—one that celebrates not just flavours, but the traditions and emotions that shape them.
