The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) is gearing up for a grand return with Season 2 set to be broadcast on Zee Bollywood, &Pictures HD and Anmol Cinema 2, along with streaming on ZEE5.
Beginning December 24, audiences across India can look forward to high-energy matches, packed with powerful raids, sharp tackles and dynamic performances from top kabaddi talent, amplified by Hindi commentary and fast-paced action.
According to a UPKL press release, ZEE continues to leverage its wide network to build strong sports properties, and its association with UPKL aims to elevate the league into one of India’s leading state-level sporting platforms.
With rising viewership, dedicated fans and increasing advertiser interest, UPKL has emerged as a robust advertiser-led property. Promoted by kabaddi star Rahul Chaudhari, the league is positioned as one of the biggest state-level kabaddi tournaments in the country.
Bhavesh Janavlekar, Business Head – Zee Sports, said the network’s sports strategy focuses on championing indigenous sports, and UPKL provides a powerful opportunity to take regional excellence to a national stage. He noted that kabaddi enjoys deep emotional connect in Indian households, and the extensive reach of the broadcast channels will further strengthen that bond, while also offering brands strong value through the league’s growing popularity.
Sambhav Jain, Founder & Director of SJ Uplift Kabaddi, added that airing UPKL across three channels along with OTT availability significantly widens the league’s reach, allowing fans of all age groups and regions to follow the action. With daily matches scheduled from 5 pm to 10 pm, Season 2 will deliver 69 matches over 18 days, promising an immersive kabaddi experience for viewers nationwide.
