Spotify unveils S2 of Richa Chadha-Ali Fazal’s Podcast ‘Virus 2062’

Spotify has announced the return of Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s podcast ‘Virus 2062’ for a second season.

The audio-thriller, adapted from the Chilean Spotify Original ‘Caso 63’, marks the first voice-led podcast by Bollywood actors on Spotify India.

Directed by Mantra Mugdh, the podcast revolves around a psychiatric patient claiming to be from the future, aiming to prevent the spread of a deadly virus.

In the upcoming season, the character played by Chadha, Dr. Gayatri Rajput, wakes up in a different timeline, where she finds herself both the time traveler and an enigmatic patient of a psychiatrist.

Chadha expressed her excitement about the project, stating that working on the podcast has been an insightful and interesting experience as a voice actor.

Fazal, who plays Patient 63, Peter Pereira, mentioned that the podcast has helped him grow as an artist, PTI reported.

The first season of ‘Virus 2062’ consisted of ten episodes, and the second season promises to further expand the intriguing storyline. The English adaptation of the original podcast, titled ‘Case 63’, featured renowned Hollywood actors Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac.

Fans of the podcast can look forward to another thrilling season as Chadha and Fazal delve deeper into this extraordinary world.

The actors are eager to see how listeners will receive the new season, and they hope that the audience enjoys it as much as they did while creating it.
