Rusk Media has unveiled a fresh set of mentors for the second season of its fitness reality show ‘Battleground’, reinforcing the IP with a blend of talent, regional influence, and strong fan communities. Building on the momentum of its debut season, the upcoming edition will stream on Amazon MX Player and introduces Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Rahul Chaudhary as mentors alongside returning face Abhishek Malhan.
According to an Amazon MX Player press release, the new season aims to scale up the format’s reach and engagement by combining entertainment with competitive fitness challenges. The show continues to position itself as a mobile-first property, designed to appeal to evolving consumption patterns and audiences across India.
‘Battleground’ S2 remains rooted in themes of strength, endurance, and competitive spirit. With mentor-led teams such as Delhi Dominators, Mumbai Strikers, and Telugu Tigers, the format goes beyond episodic storytelling, extending into daily engagement through social media integrations, creator collaborations, and community-driven interactions. Actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, known for her stint in ‘Naagin’, is expected to bring a strong GEC audience to the show, while beverage brand Thums Up joins as the presenting partner.
Speaking on the development, Mayank Yadav, Co-Founder and CEO of Rusk Media, said that ‘Battleground’ has evolved into one of the company’s most promising IPs due to its ability to connect with audiences at scale while staying culturally relevant. He added that Season 2 is being built as a “Bharat-first premium property,” reflecting diverse voices and offering a richer, more engaging experience across platforms.
Rahul Arora, Head of Rusk Ads, highlighted the show’s positioning as a high-impact advertising ecosystem. He noted that the format allows brands to move beyond visibility and integrate meaningfully into narratives, creator ecosystems, and community extensions—particularly targeting Gen Z and Bharat audiences with authentic engagement.
Sharing her perspective, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary said the energy and passion of the format drew her in, adding that leading Mumbai Strikers comes with a strong sense of pride and competitiveness. Rahul Chaudhary echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing discipline, team spirit, and responsibility as he steps in to mentor Telugu Tigers.
The new season also marks the return of Shikhar Dhawan as Super Mentor, further strengthening the show’s appeal. With an expanded mentor line-up and growing brand partnerships, ‘Battleground’ S2 is set to build on its existing momentum as a fitness-driven reality format when it begins streaming from April 2026.
