Amazon MGM Studios has announced its upcoming theatrical film ‘Raftaar’, a high-stakes drama starring Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles.
The film, directed by Aditya Nimbalkar and produced by Patralekhaa under the banner of Kampa Film, is scheduled to release in theatres on July 24, 2026.
According to an Amazon MGM Studios press release, the film explores the intense and highly competitive world of the education business, weaving together themes of ambition, love and greed. The project is executive produced by Tarun Bali, while the story and screenplay have been written by Rohan Narula.
‘Raftaar’ centres on a fast-rising start-up operating in a high-pressure environment where ambition often shapes destinies and success comes at a cost. At the heart of the story is a complex relationship between a driven man and an equally ambitious woman. As the pursuit of power, money and influence intensifies, their professional hunger begins to collide with their personal lives. The narrative follows their meteoric rise, the intoxicating lure of success and the emotional and moral dilemmas that emerge when the climb to the top threatens to overshadow everything else.
The film also features a strong ensemble cast including Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Maniktala and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles, adding further depth to the drama.
Positioned as an intense edge-of-the-seat narrative, ‘Raftaar’ promises a gripping story set against the backdrop of ambition and the price that often accompanies success. The film, an Amazon MGM Studios production, is slated to hit theatres worldwide on July 24, 2026.
