Prime Video has announced the launch of NBA League Pass the NBA’s official subscription service for streaming live and on-demand games as an add-on subscription for Indian users. This marks the first time the League Pass has been made available in India through Prime Video, giving basketball fans access to one of the most extensive sports streaming experiences in the world.

According to a Prime Video press release, the new service will offer subscribers access to over 1,000 NBA games per season, including every regular season game, the NBA All-Star Game, NBA Playoffs, Conference Finals, and NBA Finals. Fans can enjoy live games, replays, and highlights, along with NBA TV at no additional cost. The platform aims to bring the best of the NBA to Indian audiences with flexible subscription plans designed to cater to different viewing preferences.

The NBA League Pass on Prime Video will be available through three subscription tiers. The Standard League Pass, priced at Rs.219 per month, includes all games and NBA TV access on one device. The Premium League Pass, priced at Rs.329 per month, allows streaming on up to three devices, offline viewing, and an in-arena feed for a more immersive experience. For fans following a particular team, the Team Pass is available for ₹199 per month, providing access to that team’s games on one device.

Adding to the excitement, Prime Members in India will also be able to stream select marquee games from the NBA’s 2025–26 regular season as part of their existing Prime Membership, without requiring an additional add-on. The lineup includes some of the league’s most anticipated matchups such as Opening Week, the Black Friday Doubleheader, NBA Berlin and London Games, and the 2026 SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament.

The basketball action tips off on Prime Video’s SVOD service on Saturday, October 25, with an opening week doubleheader featuring the New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics at 5 a.m. IST, followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers at 7:30 a.m.

To mark the launch, Prime Video Sports unveiled the NBA on Prime Studio with an exclusive preview event held at Amazon MGM Studios in Culver City, California. The event brought together top Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios executives, along with a star-studded lineup of NBA legends including Blake Griffin, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Udonis Haslem, John Wall, Rudy Gay, Candace Parker, Dwyane Wade, Swin Cash, and Brent Barry, alongside host Taylor Rooks, announcer Ian Eagle, sideline reporters Cassidy Hubbarth and Allie Clifton, and analyst Stan Van Gundy.

With its innovative add-on model and marquee matchups included for Prime Members, Prime Video aims to redefine how basketball is streamed in India, combining convenience, flexibility, and immersive coverage for NBA fans across the country.
