Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has partnered with Google Gemini for the upcoming season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC). As part of the collaboration, Google Gemini will be integrated into the KBC experience across Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV, where it will serve as an interactive knowledge companion for viewers.
According to SPNI press release, the integration will support audiences throughout their KBC journey. Google Gemini will help users with the show’s registration process, explain eligibility criteria, and provide assistance for general knowledge preparation. The AI platform will also introduce interactive challenges on the Google Gemini app, allowing users to test and improve their knowledge across different subjects.
The company said the collaboration is aimed at combining KBC’s long standing focus on knowledge with Google’s artificial intelligence technology to create a more engaging and accessible experience for viewers. Registrations for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati are now open, and users can access registration-related information through Google Gemini.
Commenting on the partnership, Nachiket Pantvaidya, Chief Content Officer, Sony Pictures Networks India, said KBC has inspired generations through the power of knowledge for more than two decades. He added that integrating Google Gemini into the show will introduce new ways for audiences to engage with KBC while bringing AI-driven learning into households across the country.
Kanika Kalra, Director, Marketing, Google India, said KBC has become a symbol of learning and curiosity in India. She noted that Google Gemini’s generative AI capabilities will help viewers and aspiring contestants explore new topics, strengthen their preparation and enhance their learning experience.
SPNI said the collaboration is expected to strengthen the intersection of technology and entertainment by making the KBC experience more intelligent, relevant and interactive for audiences. The upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati will air on Sony Entertainment Television and stream on Sony LIV.
