Leading Hindi news channel News18 India will host ‘Jazba: Jadon Se Shikhar Tak’ in Delhi today bringing together sportspersons, policymakers, sports administrators, industry voices and experts to discuss the journey, challenges and growth of Indian sport.

‘Jazba’ will focus on the people behind India’s sporting achievements, including athletes, coaches, families, academies, institutions and policymakers.

The event will cover topics such as grassroots development, sports infrastructure, Olympic ambitions, sports policy, innovation and the growing sports economy.

The event will also highlight the hard work behind sporting success, including years of training, setbacks and comebacks. It will feature stories of sporting icons, emerging athletes, para-athletes and grassroots sports personalities.

The programme included panel discussions and conversations on the current state and future of Indian sport. The discussions will look at how better grassroots systems, improved infrastructure and more opportunities can help develop the next generation of athletes.

The speaker line-up includes federal ministers Mansukh Mandaviya (Sports and Youth Affairs) and Kiren Rijiju (Parliamentary Affairs); former I&B Minister and MP Anurag Thakur; Rajasthan Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore; Bihar Minister Shreyasi Singh; Haryana Minister Gaurav Gautam and Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey.

Former cricketers Ishant Sharma, Sandeep Patil and Aakash Chopra, Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt, former hockey players Ashok Dhyanchand and Sardara Singh, former Indian women’s hockey captain Rani Rampal, boxer Akhil Kumar, athlete Ashwini Nachappa and Paralympian Deepa Malik are also part of the speaker line-up.
